Dr. Ademola Idowu joined Dow in 2008 after completing his Ph.D. program in Analytical Chemistry at Texas Tech University, Lubbock. He is currently a Principal Research Scientist with the primary role of leading fundamental research, plant troubleshooting, process improvement, and reaction fouling mitigation. He is also representing Dow as a member of the Executive Council at the Digital Manufacturing Institute (MxD), where he facilitates collaborative research with other industries, government agencies and academia. His career successes included the development and company-wide implementation of key technologies for monitoring trace impurities in chemical processes, fence-line toxic chemical monitoring, and wireless systems for pilot plant operations. Dr. Idowu is also an Innovation Program Leader; with emphasis on continuous improvement and six sigma methodologies. He is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt and Black Belt Coach.
