Throughout the last years, environmental sensors measuring temperature, humidity, barometric pressure and air quality have become smaller, cheaper and ubiquitous. This session illustrates what new applications have already been enabled by these interconnected system as well as looking at the future when environmental sensing will become personal, including a novel concept for measuring PM2.5 that can be easily integrated in our mobile devices, allowing them to become our coaches of our long term health.
